Additional Support Tools


Please only install these tools where appropriate.
If you are unsure, do not install them.

Security Suite - Only available for download from the LANDesk Software Deployment Portal (Start Menu - Programs - LANDesk Management folder) on validated center computers with LANDesk installed.

Remote Control Agent - Old remote control agent (version 8.7 sp2). Supports older operating systems when there is a need. DPCustomCfg_Package

DPCustomCfg.exe (sometimes referred to as the "LANDesk Updater") version 5.1.

This package is required for systems with drive protection software such as Deep Freeze, EAZ-Fix, WinU, Drive Shield, Cornerstone, CompuGuard, etc.

Do NOT install this unless you have drive protection software installed. Antivirus and security suite software does not count as "drive protection" software.

The DPCustomCfg.exe executable file must be manually copied by your center technology specialist into the location where your maintenance software gets executed from.

For example, if you are using Deep Freeze and it is configured to do automated maintenance once per week, Deep Freeze's maintenance should be configured to execute a batch file that runs the DPCustomCfg.exe file.

Maintenance on systems protected with drive protection software should be ran at least every 30 days. Maintenance includes, at the minimum, executing DPCustomCfg.exe and an antivirus update.

Remote Control Viewer 8.7 SP2 - Installs the newest Remote Control Viewer for use with the Family History Management Gateway. Supports Vista.
ReconnectInstall.2.5.exe - Use to manually update the LDS Reconnect script to version 2.5 on center systems. Most systems should have already automatically been updated to this version.

LANDesk Support Agent Uninstaller 8.8 SP3 - Uninstalls the LANDesk Support Agent Version 8.8 SP3. Please note, it will automatically reboot the system.

LANDesk Support Agent Uninstaller 8.7 - Uninstalls the LANDesk Support Agent. Please note, it will automatically reboot the system. 		DPCustomCfgRemove.exe - Removes (or uninstalls) all of the changes that were made with DPCustomCfg.exe.

Force "LANDesk Software Deployment Portal" Update - Resets the LANDesk Software Deployment Portal's client policy database & re-downloads all policies.
